“For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain”. (Philippians 1:21).

Jesus as God The gospel of John clearly states that Jesus is God.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him, nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:1-4).

Apostle Paul puts it this way “ …… to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; t

I have become all things to all men that I might by all means save some”.

Who is the Word? Jesus of course! In another sense, Thomas answered and said, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28). We believe that Jesus is God, died on the cross, and rose from death.

Who is the Word? Jesus of course! In another sense, Thomas answered and said, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28). We believe that Jesus is God, died on the cross, and rose from death.

In Mark 14, when the High Priest asked Jesus if He is the Son of God, He said “I AM” due to the genuineness of the question. In John 8, Jesus claimed that He knows Abraham, and before Abraham was born, He is (I AM)

God. Then, they wanted to kill Him. I AM is the name reserved for God only (Exodus 3:14, Mark 14:62).

Jesus revealed Himself as God. In Matthew 16, Jesus asked, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter said that he is Christ, the Son of the living God. God revealed the truth to Peter because he sought God with genuineness of heart. Your choices in life depend on your genuineness in knowing Christ. Unlike other religions, we have come to Jesus directly not to be stoned and not with heavy laws or fears (Hebrews 12:18-24).

Trinity is the best explanation of Biblical data, who God is, from Genesis to Revelation (Matthew 28:19, Genesis 1-3, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, Isaiah 48:12-16, Psalm 110:1, Philippians 2:10-11).

Intimacy with Jesus is the best pursuit of man. God is a God of true love. God creates us in His Son’s image to populate His love (Deuteronomy 6:4, Mark 1:3, Isaiah 40:3). Jesus is the Lord of Sabbath (Mark 2:28, Mark 4:38-39, Psalms 107:25-29, Mark 14:62). Jesus has existed from the beginning (Genesis 32:30, Exodus 13:21, Exodus 3:4, Genesis 3:8, Exodus 24:10, Genesis 18:1-12, Genesis 19, Psalm 1:10, Daniel 7:13-14). He who believes in Jesus Christ will go to heaven (Matthew 10:32-33). Genuine trust is required so that we can work together in other to serve the world. We are created by God as social beings who can interact (The Great Commission).

Jesus said “what I tell you in the darkness, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops” (Matthew 10:27).

Knowing about other religions strengthens our faith in Christ. For example, Peter and Paul met with the Gentiles. How will the Christian faith be accepted in different cultures and countries?
